Christian Hidaka
Biography
Born in 1977 in Noda (Japan). Lives and works in London (United Kingdom).
Christian Hidaka is a painter who renews the genre of landscape. His works draws from a thousand different sources: Japanese landscapes, science fiction, psychedelism, surrealism, Renaissance painting... From his works emerges a poetry, an invitation to travel towards irrational and fantasized universes.
Christian Hidaka's works have been exhibited at 3rd Beijing Biennale - UK Pavilion, The Weisman Art Museum (California), Spiral Garden (Tokyo), Dye House (London), Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, MUDAM - The Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (Luxembourg), Villa Reale's Galleria d'Arte Moderna (Milano), The Goss-Michael Foundation (Dallas), Torrance Art Museum (California), Le Grand Café (Saint-Nazaire), Les Instants Chavirés (Montreuil), Synagogue de Delme (Delme), Le Consortium (Dijon), Bétonsalon (Paris) etc, MNAC - National Museum of Contemporary Art of Bucarest (Bucarest).
