Didier Fiúza Faustino
Biography
Born in 1968. Works between Paris (France) and Lisboa (Portugal).
Didier Fiúza Faustino works on the relationship between body and space. He started his own practice at the crossroad of art and architecture just after graduating in architecture in 1995. He has been developing since then a multi-faceted approach, ranging from installation to experimentation, from visual art to the creation of multi-sensorial spaces, mobile architecture and buildings.
He taught for six years at the AA School in London and was editor-in-chief of the French architecture and design magazine CREE in 2015 and 2016.
Didier Fiúza Faustino's works have been exhibited at MoMA - The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Centre Georges-Pompidou (Paris), Foundation Gulbenkian (Lisbon), Maison Hermès (Tokyo), Laxart (Los Angeles), Foundation Beyeler (Basel), MOCAD - Museum of Contemporary Art (Detroit),Storefront (New York), MAXXI - Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo (Roma), MUDE - Museum of Design and Fashion (Lisbon), Cité de l'architecture et duPatrimoine (Paris), HEAD - University of Art and Design of Geneva, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon), La Verrière (Brussels), Monnaie de Paris, MUCEM(Marseilles), 50th Venice Biennale, Venice Biennial of Architecture (11th French Pavilion ; 9th Portuguese Pavilion), etc.
His work is part of prestigious collections such as the MoMA - Museum of Modern Art (New York), Centre Georges-Pompidou (Paris), MACS - Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves (Porto), CNAP - Centre National des Arts Plastiques (Paris), FRAC Centre (Orléans), Centro de Arte Moderna José de Azeredo Perdigão (Lisbon), Antoine de Galbert - Maison Rouge Foundation (Paris), Josée and Marc Gensollen collection (Marseilles), etc.
