Agnès Thurnauer

We are pleased to announce that Agnès Thurnauer is presenting a work in HAIR: Stories of Power and Passion at Kunsthalle München.

Bringing together nearly 200 works spanning three millennia, the exhibition explores hair as a powerful site of meaning, at once aesthetic, political, and deeply personal. From markers of identity and belonging to gestures of resistance and transformation, hair becomes a language through which power, desire, and social codes are both expressed and challenged.

Within this rich, cross-historical narrative, Thurnauer's work Original world #3 from her series Peintures d'histoire resonates with the exhibition's curatorial inquiry, engaging questions of representation, subjectivity, and the construction of meaning through form.
