From 3 to 15 February, the LabOratorio degli Angeli presents Identification of the place, a performance display of Luca Vitone, by Leonardo Regano, which is part of the program of ART CITY Bologna 2025 on the occasion of Arte Fiera.

For this special occasion, the former Oratory of Santa Maria degli Angeli will welcome the reactivation of one of the artist's most iconic research, in a site-specific setting that will invite the public to reflect on the identity of the place and on the deep link between the past and the present that characterizes it.

In Identification of the place, large sheets printed on xerocopie reproduce the cartography of the space that hosted them as a metaphor of the relationship between man and territory and the different possibilities of perception and memory of the latter. Inside the laboratory, the papers made by the artist from 1989 will be the subject of a restoration that will be implemented throughout the exhibition period, involving the visitor in a progress experience that interweaves the creative process of Vitone with the historical stratification and the activities of the space that today welcomes them
