Born in 1968, Jean-Charles Hue lives and works in Paris. His received his MFA from the Ecole nationale supérieure d’arts of Paris-Cergy in 2000, and was artist in résidence at the « Villa Médicis Hors les Murs » in Monterrey, Mexico in 2005. His work was nominated for the Gilles Dusein prize in 2003, and he received the award for best vidéo at the LOOP Video Art Fair in Barcelona in 2006. The vidéo work Y'a plus d'os was shown at the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard, Paris in 2007. In 2010, the Centre de Création Contemporaine in Tours showed Y’a pas de prévenance. He participated in the « Hors Pistes » project at the Centre Pompidou (2009, 2010). His second feature-length film (after Carne Viva , 2008), The Lord’s Beemer (La BM du Seigneur) was first shown at the Marseilles International Film Festival (FID) in 2010.
