Car Crash. Piero Gilardi / e l'arte povera

The PAV Parco Arte Vivente presents the exhibition Car Crash. Piero Gilardi and Arte Povera curated by Marco Scotini, which investigates the production of Piero Gilardi (Turin, 1942-2023) during the 1960s. The exhibition is intended as a tribute to the founder of PAV and traces the beginnings of the artist's career by exploring the years from 1964 to 1969, a germinal season during which Gilardi's multiple interests and his great contribution to the origin of the arte povera movement are already emerging. Car Crash is the first in a series of monographic exhibitions in a long-term PAV project that, following a chronological partition, will delve into the artist's work.

Le PAV Parco Arte Vivente présente l'exposition Car Crash. Piero Gilardi et l'Arte Povera, organisée par Marco Scotini, qui étudie la production de Piero Gilardi (Turin, 1942-2023) au cours des années 1960. L'exposition se veut un hommage au fondateur du PAV et retrace les débuts de la carrière de l'artiste en explorant les années 1964 à 1969, une période féconde au cours de laquelle émergent déjà les multiples intérêts de Gilardi et sa grande contribution à l'origine du mouvement de l'arte povera. Car Crash est la première d'une série d'expositions monographiques dans le cadre d'un projet à long terme du PAV qui, suivant une partition chronologique, approfondira l'œuvre de l'artiste.
