Cher Henri, correspondances avec Matisse

This publication brings together fifty letters written by Agnès Thurnauer between April 2021 and January 2022 and addressed to Henri Matisse, after a first visit to the museum. In these writings, Agnès Thurnauer questions several fundamental notions for her, in particular the question of the "states" of painting that Matisse recorded by having his paintings photographed throughout their creation.

Cet ouvrage réunit cinquante lettres écrites par Agnès Thurnauer entre avril 2021 et janvier 2022 et adressées à Henri Matisse, après une première visite au musée. Dans ces écrits, Agnès Thurnauer interroge plusieurs notions fondamentales pour elle, en particulier la question des « états » de la peinture que Matisse a consignés en faisant photographier ses tableaux tout au long de leur réalisation.
