Dialogue between works by Enrique Ramírez and 28 works from the Pinault Collection

The Fresnoy National Contemporary Art Centre and the Pinault Collection have partnered to present an exhibition by Chilean artist Enrique Ramírez, Jusque-là [Up to there], which investigates how artists explore and grapple with the primordial issue of the crossing as a metaphor for the evolution of humanity. Mixing productions by Enrique Ramírez with those of twelve artists featured in the Pinault Collection (Lucas Arruda,Yaël Bartana, Nina Canell, Latifa Echakhch, Vidya Gastaldon, Jean-Luc Moulène, Antoni Muntadas, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Paulo Nazareth, and Danh Vo) Jusque-là outlines a territory troubled by the artists' major preoccupations with borders, the movement of peoples, political statements, and the cycles of life.

Cette exposition, une co-production Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains et Pinault Collection, interroge la façon dont les artistes abordent, explorent, s'approprient la question essentielle de la traversée, métaphore de l'évolution de notre humanité. Le titre de l'exposition Jusque-là fait référence à une œuvre de l'artiste chilien Enrique Ramírez, qui a été accueilli dans la résidence d'artistes de Pinault Collection à Lens et associé à la conception de l'exposition. L'accrochage propose un dialogue entre 17 œuvres d'Enrique Ramírez et un choix de 28 œuvres de la Collection Pinault de dix artistes : Lucas Arruda, Yael Bartana, Nina Canell, Latifa Echakhch, Vidya Gastaldon, Jean-Luc Moulène, Antoni Muntadas, Paulo Nazareth, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Danh Vo.
